وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَفْضَلُ الْقُرْآنِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ ، وَأَعْظَمُ آيَةٍ فِيهِ آيَةُ الْكُرْسِيِّ ، وَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَيَفِرُّ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي تُقْرَأُ فِيهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ
الْحَدِيثُ مُرْسَلٌ ، إِسْنَادُهُ إِلَى الْحَسَنِ صَحِيحٌ .

It is narrated from Imam al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most excellent surah of the Noble Qur'an is Surah al-Baqarah, and the greatest verse in it is Ayat al-Kursi; and indeed, Satan flees from the house in which Surah al-Baqarah is recited."
This hadith is mursal, but its chain up to Imam al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) is sahih (authentic).
