Al-Matalib al-'Aliyah 3525 — Surah al-Baqarah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: like a rainstorm from the sky [Surah al-Baqarah: 19], that he said: "The word al-sayyib means the rain that pours down from the sky."
