عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ
وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، أَنَا حَمَّادٌ هُوَ ابْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، أَنَا مَعْبَدٌ ، أَخْبَرَنِي فُلَانٌ فِي مَسْجِدِ دِمَشْقَ ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، جَلَسَ إِلَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثٍ قَبْلَهُ فِيهِ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، فَأَيُّ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ كَانَ أَوَّلَ ؟ قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " آدَمُ " فَقُلْتُ : أَوَنَبِيًّا كَانَ ؟ قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَعَمْ ، نَبِيٌّ مُكَلَّمٌ " . قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، فَكَمِ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ ؟ قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ثَلَاثُمِائَةٍ وَخَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ جَمًّا غَفِيرًا .
وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، أَنَا حَمَّادٌ هُوَ ابْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، أَنَا مَعْبَدٌ ، أَخْبَرَنِي فُلَانٌ فِي مَسْجِدِ دِمَشْقَ ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، جَلَسَ إِلَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثٍ قَبْلَهُ فِيهِ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، فَأَيُّ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ كَانَ أَوَّلَ ؟ قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " آدَمُ " فَقُلْتُ : أَوَنَبِيًّا كَانَ ؟ قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَعَمْ ، نَبِيٌّ مُكَلَّمٌ " . قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، فَكَمِ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ ؟ قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ثَلَاثُمِائَةٍ وَخَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ جَمًّا غَفِيرًا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) came and sat in the blessed gathering of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he related something like the previous hadith, in which it says: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, who was the first of the Prophets?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Adam (peace be upon him)." I said: "Was he truly a Prophet?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, he was a Prophet to whom Allah Almighty spoke." I asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what was the total number of the Prophets?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Three hundred and fifteen, a great and numerous multitude."
Ishaq bin Rahwayh said: Al-Nadr bin Shumayl informed us; Hammad bin Salamah informed him; Ma'bad told him; and a man in the mosque of Damascus narrated this to him from Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), and it is like the previous hadith.
