Al-Matalib al-'Aliyah 3440 — The veils that are before Allah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr and Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Before the holy presence of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, there are seventy thousand veils of light and darkness, and there is no living soul that hears the faintest sound of these veils, or perceives them in any way, except that its soul departs (that is, unable to bear their awe and majesty, it perishes at once)."
Takhrij: Musnad Abi Ya'la: 3459. Its chain contains a narrator named Musa bin Ubaydah al-Rabadhi, who is da'if (weak), and because of him this narration is weak in its chain.
