It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The hidden remembrance which the guardian angels (Kiraman Katibin) do not hear is superior (to ordinary remembrance) seventy times over." And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the Day of Resurrection comes and Allah Almighty gathers all creatures for their reckoning, and the guardian angels come with what they preserved and recorded, Allah Almighty will ask them: 'Look, does anything remain of this servant's deeds?' They will say: 'Our Lord, we have not left out any of his deeds, as far as our knowledge and memory go, except that we have fully counted it and written it down.' Then Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, will say (addressing the servant): 'Indeed, I have with Me a hidden good deed of yours of which you (or the angels) have no knowledge, and I Myself will reward you for it, and that is the hidden remembrance (al-dhikr al-khafi).'"
Abu Ya'la recorded this hadith in his Musnad. This narration is da'if (weak) in its chain because of the solitary narration and weakness of a narrator in it named Mu'awiyah bin Yahya al-Sadafi.
