It is narrated from Abdullah bin Sabrah (may Allah have mercy on him) that when Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reached the morning, he would supplicate with this du'a: 'Allahumma ij'alni min a'zami 'ibadika nasiban fi kulli khayrin taqsimuhu fi al-ghadati min nurin tahdi bih, wa rahmatin tanshuruha, wa rizqin tabsutuh, wa durrin takshifuh, wa bala'in tadfa'uh, wa fitnatin tasrifuha, wa su'in tadfa'uh' (O Allah, include me among those of Your servants who have the most abundant share in every good that You distribute in the morning: the light by which You guide, the mercy You spread, the provision You expand, the harm You remove, the trial You avert, the tribulation You turn away, and the evil You repel).
