It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was passing along a road when a black woman also passed by there. A man (present on the road) said to her (to draw her attention to giving way): "Make way!" The woman replied (indifferently or angrily): "What way?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Leave her as she is, for she is a very headstrong (and harsh-tempered) woman."
Takhrij: This narration is in Musnad Abi Ya'la (3227); its chain contains Ja'far bin Sulayman al-Duba'i, a saduq (truthful) narrator, although the imams have criticised his memory and his solitary narrations.
