( 123 ) حَدِيثُ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَدْ تَقَدَّمَ فِي أَبْوَابِ الذِّكْرِ الَّذِي يُذْهِبُ أَبْوَابَ السَّقَمِ فِي أَبْوَابِ الطِّبِّ .
وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، ثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مَنْ لَوْ قَامَ عَلَى بَابِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَسَأَلَهُ دِينَارًا مَا أَعْطَاهُ ، أَوْ دِرْهَمًا مَا أَعْطَاهُ ، أَوْ فِلْسًا مَا أَعْطَاهُ ، وَلَوْ سَأَلَ اللهَ تَعَالَى الدُّنْيَا مَا أَعْطَاهُ ، وَمَا يَمْنَعُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ كَرَامَتِهِ عَلَيْهِ ، وَلَوْ سَأَلَ اللهَ تَعَالَى الْجَنَّةَ لَأَعْطَاهُ ، وَلَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ " .
وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، ثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مَنْ لَوْ قَامَ عَلَى بَابِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَسَأَلَهُ دِينَارًا مَا أَعْطَاهُ ، أَوْ دِرْهَمًا مَا أَعْطَاهُ ، أَوْ فِلْسًا مَا أَعْطَاهُ ، وَلَوْ سَأَلَ اللهَ تَعَالَى الدُّنْيَا مَا أَعْطَاهُ ، وَمَا يَمْنَعُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ كَرَامَتِهِ عَلَيْهِ ، وَلَوْ سَأَلَ اللهَ تَعَالَى الْجَنَّةَ لَأَعْطَاهُ ، وَلَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ " .
It is narrated from Salim bin Abi al-Ja'd (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, among my Ummah there is a (destitute) person who, if he were to stand at the door of one of you and ask him for a dinar, he would not give it to him; or ask for a dirham, he would not give it to him; even if he asked for a single small coin (fils), he would not give it to him. And if he asked Allah Almighty for the whole world, Allah would not give it to him, and Allah's withholding the world from him is only because of his rank, honour and nobility in the divine court. But if that same person asked Allah Almighty for Paradise, Allah would certainly grant it to him, and if he swore an oath upon something, relying on Allah, Allah would certainly fulfil his oath."
The hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) has already passed in the chapters on medicine, under the remembrances (adhkar) that remove illness; and Imam al-Harith narrated this in his Musnad.
