It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the son of Adam will be brought (before Allah) as if he were a little lamb," and sometimes the narrator, in doubt, related that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "as if he were a camel." "Then Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will say: O son of Adam! I am the best of those who apportion. Look at the deed you did purely for Me; I will reward you for it. And look at the deed you did for someone other than Me; it is he who will repay you for it, the one for whom you did that deed."
Imam Abu Ya'la narrated it; its chain contains Yazid al-Raqashi, a da'if (weak) narrator, though the meaning of this hadith is established by other authentic hadith which mention that Allah Almighty is free of any need of partners.
