قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خُثَيْمِ بْنِ عِرَاكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَهْلًا عَنِ اللهِ تَعَالَى مَهْلًا ، لَوْلَا شَبَابٌ خُشَّعٌ ، وَشُيُوخٌ رُكَّعٌ ، وَأَطْفَالٌ رُضَّعٌ ، وَبَهَائِمُ رُتَّعٌ ، لَصُبَّ عَلَيْكُمُ الْعَذَابُ صَبًّا " .
3198 \ 2 - وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ ، بِهِ .
وَقَالَ : لَا نَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ .
3198 \ 2 - وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ ، بِهِ .
وَقَالَ : لَا نَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not be hasty (in seeking punishment) from Allah Almighty; wait a little. For were it not for humble and submissive young men, elders who bow in ruku' before Allah, nursing infants suckling at their mothers' breasts, and grazing animals in the pastures, the punishment of Allah would have been poured upon you like torrential rain."
Imam Abu Ya'la and Imam al-Bazzar recorded this hadith through the chain of Ibrahim bin Khuthaym bin Irak, and Imam al-Bazzar said: We know this hadith only through this chain.
