وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي فَهْمٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَوْ كَانَتِ الدُّنْيَا تَزِنُ عِنْدَ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى جَنَاحَ بَعُوضَةٍ مَا أَعْطَى كَافِرًا مِنْهَا شَرْبَةَ مَاءٍ " .
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) of the tribe of Banu Fahm that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If this world had, in the sight of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, any worth, value or weight even equal to the wing of a mosquito, He would not give any disbeliever even a sip of water from this world."
Imam Ibn Abi Shaybah recorded this hadith in his Musannaf, and a report with this meaning is also found in Sunan al-Tirmidhi (no. 2320), which Imam al-Tirmidhi declared hasan sahih.
