It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever deliberately tells a lie against me, or rejects something that I have commanded, let him take up his abode in Hell."
The chain of this narration has weakness on account of narrators such as Amr bin Malik and Jariyah bin Harim; however, the first part of the hadith, namely the warning against lying about the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), is definitively established by other sahih and mutawatir narrations.
