وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ رَجَاءِ بْنِ حَيْوَةَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ ، وَرَبِيعَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، وَمَكْحُولٍ قَالُوا : إِنَّ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، كَانَ إِذَا حَدَّثَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثًا قَالَ : هَكَذَا أَوْ شَكْلُهُ .
3065 \ 2 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بِهِ .
3065 \ 3 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بِهِ .
3065 \ 2 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بِهِ .
3065 \ 3 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بِهِ .
Yazid bin Abi Malik, Rabi'ah bin Yazid and Makhul relate that whenever Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated a blessed hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he would say (out of utmost caution): "(The matter) is like this, or similar and close to it."
Abu Ya'la recorded it through the chain of Ahmad bin Ishaq al-Bahili, from Ibn Dawud, from Asim bin Raja bin Haywah.
Abu Abdullah al-Muqaddami also narrated it through Abdullah bin Dawud with the same chain mentioned above.
Furthermore, Muhammad bin Qudamah also transmitted it from Rabi'ah bin Yazid through Ma'n bin Isa and Mu'awiyah bin Salih.
