وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ الْمَدَنِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : الْخَبَرُ الصَّالِحُ يَجِيءُ بِهِ الرَّجُلُ الصَّالِحُ ، وَالْخَبَرُ السُّوءُ يَجِيءُ بِهِ الرَّجُلُ السُّوءُ .
وَبِهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَا يَخْطَلُ الرَّجُلُ .
وَبِهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَا يَخْطَلُ الرَّجُلُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Good and pleasing news is brought only by a righteous and virtuous person, while bad and corrupt news is brought only by a bad person." He (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "The believing man does not engage in foul talk, clumsy speech and pointless chatter."
Ahmad bin Mani' recorded this hadith in his Musnad; however, this report is weak in its chain because of the weakness of the narrator Yusuf bin Atiyyah in its chain.
