It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundab (may Allah be pleased with him): "the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade praying after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises, for the sun rises upon the horn of Satan (or he said: upon his two horns)."
The chain of this report is sahih (authentic). Imam Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah recorded it in his Musannaf and Imam Abu Dawud al-Tayalisi in his Musnad, and hadith with this meaning are also found in the two Sahihs.
