وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبَّادٍ ، ثَنَا بَحْرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : مَا كَانَ أَصْلُ زَنْدَقَةٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا كَانَ بَدْءَهَا تَكْذِيبٌ بِالْقَدَرِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Never has the foundation of any heresy and irreligion been laid except that its beginning was the denial of divine decree."
Imam al-Harith bin Abi Usamah recorded this hadith in his Musnad; its chain contains Bahr bin Kaniz al-Saqqa al-Basri, who is a da'if (weak) narrator according to the imams of narrator criticism.
