قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ ( ح ) .
2914 \ 2 - قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، كِلَاهُمَا ، عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ لَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أُبَايِعُكُمْ عَلَى أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكُوا بِاللهِ شَيْئًا ، وَلَا تَسْرِقُوا ، وَلَا تَزْنُوا ، وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللهُ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ ، فَمَنْ أَصَابَ هَذَا مِنْكُمْ ، فَعَجَّلَ لَهُ عُقُوبَتَهُ ، فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ ، وَمَنْ سَتَرَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَأَمْرُهُ إِلَى اللهِ ، إِنْ شَاءَ عَذَّبَهُ ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ رَحِمَهُ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصِبْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا ، ضَمِنْتُ لَهُ الْجَنَّةَ . لَفْظُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ، وَفِي رِوَايَةِ حَمَّادٍ : هَلْ تَدْرُونَ عَلَى مَا بَايَعْتُمُونِي ؟ قَالُوا : اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : عَلَى أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكُوا بِاللهِ شَيْئًا ، وَالْبَاقِي نَحْوَهُ ، وَقَالَ : فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةُ ذَنْبِهِ ، وَقَالَ : فَحِسَابُهُ عَلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .
2914 \ 2 - قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، كِلَاهُمَا ، عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ لَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أُبَايِعُكُمْ عَلَى أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكُوا بِاللهِ شَيْئًا ، وَلَا تَسْرِقُوا ، وَلَا تَزْنُوا ، وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللهُ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ ، فَمَنْ أَصَابَ هَذَا مِنْكُمْ ، فَعَجَّلَ لَهُ عُقُوبَتَهُ ، فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ ، وَمَنْ سَتَرَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَأَمْرُهُ إِلَى اللهِ ، إِنْ شَاءَ عَذَّبَهُ ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ رَحِمَهُ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصِبْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا ، ضَمِنْتُ لَهُ الْجَنَّةَ . لَفْظُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ، وَفِي رِوَايَةِ حَمَّادٍ : هَلْ تَدْرُونَ عَلَى مَا بَايَعْتُمُونِي ؟ قَالُوا : اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : عَلَى أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكُوا بِاللهِ شَيْئًا ، وَالْبَاقِي نَحْوَهُ ، وَقَالَ : فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةُ ذَنْبِهِ ، وَقَالَ : فَحِسَابُهُ عَلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us: "I take your pledge of allegiance on condition that you will not associate anything with Allah, you will not steal, you will not commit fornication, and you will not kill the soul that Allah has made sacred except by right. So whoever among you commits any of these (major sins) and is swiftly punished for it (in this world), that punishment will be an expiation for him; and whoever Allah conceals, his matter rests with Allah Almighty: if He wills He will punish him, and if He wills He will have mercy on him. And whoever does not commit any of them, I guarantee Paradise for him." These are the words of Abd al-Wahid's narration, while in Hammad's narration he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do you know on what you are pledging allegiance to me?" The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On condition that you will not associate anything with Allah", and the rest of the hadith is similar. Hammad's narration also has the words: "Then it is an expiation for his sin", and: "Then his reckoning rests with Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
Imam Musaddad and Imam Ahmad bin Mani' recorded it; although Layth bin Abi Sulaym in its chain is da'if (weak), the narration of Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) in the two Sahihs supports it, and on that basis this hadith is sahih (authentic).
