Ahmad bin Sa'id bin Rummanah narrates from his father that Wahb bin Munabbih (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: "Is not 'La ilaha illallah' (there is no god worthy of worship except Allah) the key to Paradise?" He replied: "Yes, of course, that is quite right; but the reality is that there is no key without teeth. So whoever comes to the door (of Paradise) with a key that has teeth, the door will be opened for him; but whoever comes with a key that has no teeth, the door will not be opened for him."
This chain is hasan (good) and mawquf, and Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) cited it mu'allaq (without a chain) from Imam Wahb bin Munabbih (may Allah have mercy on him).
