It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever guarantees me six things, I guarantee Paradise for him." It was said: O Messenger of Allah! What are those six things? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When he speaks, he speaks the truth; when he makes a promise, he fulfils it; when he is entrusted with something, he discharges the trust; and whoever lowers his gaze, guards his private parts and restrains his hand (from harming anyone)."
I (Ibn Hajar) say: Imam Ishaq narrated it in this way in the Musnad of al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him), and Ahmad bin Mansur al-Ramadi also narrated it in this way from Abd al-Razzaq, while other narrators narrated it from Abu Ishaq, from Zubayr, without identifying his lineage. So if Ma'mar preserved it accurately, its chain is sahih but it is munqati' (broken); and if Zuhayr preserved it, then it is muttasil (connected).
