قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنِي بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : قَلْبُ ابْنِ آدَمَ مِثْلُ الْعُصْفُورِ ، يَتَقَلَّبُ فِي الْيَوْمِ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ .
إِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ ، لَكِنَّهُ مُنْقَطِعٌ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ubaydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the heart of the son of Adam is like a sparrow (in its restlessness and quickness); it turns over seven times in a day (that is, it keeps changing its state and condition)."
