قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُفْرَشَ عَلَى بَابِ الْبُيُوتِ ، وَقَالَ : نَكِّبُوهُ عَنِ الْبَابِ شَيْئًا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade spreading a bedding or floor covering right in front of the doors of houses, and said: "Move it a little to one side, away from (the line of) the door."
Imam Ibn Abi Shaybah recorded this hadith in his "al-Musannaf"; however, because of the weakness of both narrators in its chain, Musa bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim al-Taymi and his father, this narration has been declared weak in its chain.
