It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Value the blessings granted by Allah Almighty and treat them with the best conduct and good companionship; do not, through your ingratitude and disobedience, drive them to shy away and depart from you, for it is a fact that when blessings depart from a people, they only rarely ever return to them."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it in his Musnad; the narrator in its chain, Uthman bin Matar, has been declared weak by most of the imams of narrator criticism (al-jarh wa al-ta'dil), although the meaning of the hadith is correct, in accordance with other texts and principles of the Shari'ah.
