قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ عَقِيلٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَنَا وَأَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " مَنْ حَفِظَ مَا بَيْنَ فُقْمَيْهِ وَرِجْلَيْهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " .
أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي تَارِيخِهِ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمَدِينِيِّ ، عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ بِهِ ، وَقَالَ : لَمْ يَقُلْ لِي عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ يَعْنِي : ابْنَ دَاوُدَ الْحَرَّانِيَّ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَعْيَنَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ ، يُرِيدُ أَنَّهُ جَعَلَهُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، وَأَسْقَطَ عَقِيلًا ، لَكِنْ قَدْ رَوَيْنَاهُ فِي فَوَائِدِ تَمَّامٍ مِنْ طَرِيقِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ الْحَرَّانِيِّ وَهُوَ عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ ، جَعَلَهُ بِإِثْبَاتِ عَقِيلٍ ، وَكَذَلِكَ أَخْرَجَهُ الْخَطِيبُ مِنْ طَرِيقِ مُعَافَى بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَعْيَنَ .
أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي تَارِيخِهِ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمَدِينِيِّ ، عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ بِهِ ، وَقَالَ : لَمْ يَقُلْ لِي عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ يَعْنِي : ابْنَ دَاوُدَ الْحَرَّانِيَّ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَعْيَنَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ ، يُرِيدُ أَنَّهُ جَعَلَهُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، وَأَسْقَطَ عَقِيلًا ، لَكِنْ قَدْ رَوَيْنَاهُ فِي فَوَائِدِ تَمَّامٍ مِنْ طَرِيقِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ الْحَرَّانِيِّ وَهُوَ عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ ، جَعَلَهُ بِإِثْبَاتِ عَقِيلٍ ، وَكَذَلِكَ أَخْرَجَهُ الْخَطِيبُ مِنْ طَرِيقِ مُعَافَى بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَعْيَنَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I and Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) were present with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever guards what is between his two jaws (the tongue) and what is between his two legs (the private parts) will enter Paradise."
Imam al-Bukhari narrated this hadith in his Tarikh through Ali bin al-Madini from Mu'alla bin Mansur, and Imam al-Bukhari said that Abd al-Ghaffar, that is, Ibn Dawud al-Harrani, did not mention Aqil when narrating it from Musa bin A'yan with this chain; he means that he narrated it through Sulayman bin Yasar directly from Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) and dropped Aqil from the chain. But we have narrated it in 'Fawa'id Tammam' through the route of Abu Salih al-Harrani (who is Abd al-Ghaffar himself) with Aqil included, and likewise Imam al-Khatib al-Baghdadi also narrated it through the route of Mu'afa bin Sulayman from Musa bin A'yan.
