It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) looked at his blessed face in the mirror, he would recite this supplication: 'Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi hassana khalqi wa khuluqi, wa zana minni ma shana min ghayri' (All praise is for Allah, who made my outward form and my inner character fine, and adorned in me those parts which could be defective in others). And when he (peace and blessings be upon him) applied kohl, he would apply two strokes in each eye and one stroke between the two (shared). When he (peace and blessings be upon him) put on his blessed sandals he would begin with the right foot, and when he took them off he would remove the left foot first. When he entered the mosque he would enter with his right foot first, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) loved to give precedence to the right side (tayammun) in every matter, whether taking or giving.
Yahya bin al-Ala is a very weak narrator.
