وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ ثَعْلَبَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : " سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ : " لَا تُقَدِّمُوهَا لِلْفَرَاغِ ، وَلَا تُؤَخِّرُوهَا لِلْحَاجَةِ " .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say concerning the prayer: "Do not offer the prayer before its time merely in order to be free (for other matters), and do not delay it (without valid reason) because of some need or occupation."
