وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا جُبَارَةُ بْنُ الْمُغَلِّسِ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ ، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ لَسَاعَةً لَا يَحْتَجِمُ فِيهَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا مَاتَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, on Friday there is a time in which anyone who has cupping done (that is, hijamah) will certainly meet death."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this hadith; however, its chain contains narrators such as Jubarah bin al-Mughallis and Yahya bin al-Ala', whom the imams of narrator criticism (al-jarh wa al-ta'dil) declared da'if (weak) and matruk (abandoned), on account of which, according to the hadith scholars, this report is academically unreliable and is judged mawdu' (fabricated).
