قَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ السَّرِيِّ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا عَلِيُّ ، لَا تَسْتَقْبِلِ الشَّمْسَ ; فَإِنَّ اسْتِقْبَالَهَا دَاءٌ ، وَاسْتِدْبَارَهَا دَوَاءٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Ali! Do not sit facing the sun, for facing it causes illness, and turning your back to it is a remedy and a means of healing."
