One narrator narrates that he saw Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) riding the white mule of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he was saying: "Where are the butchers?" Then he said: "I have come to you with the message of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): do not eat the hasha (the offal)." Al-Nadr bin Shumayl says: this means the spleen. Then Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Where are the fish sellers?" The people said: "Here they are!" So he went on until he came and stood by them and said: "I have come to you with the message of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): beware! Do not eat the sillawr or the anqalis." Al-Nadr bin Shumayl says: one of them is the jirri (a kind of fish) and the other is the marmahi (another kind of fish).
And the narration of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning fish is in the tafsir of Surah al-Ma'idah.
