وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ صُهْبَانَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَهْدَى بَقَرَةً ، أَيَبِيعُ جِلْدَهَا وَيَتَصَدَّقُ بِثَمَنِهِ ؟ قَالَ : لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ " .
صَحِيحٌ .

Uqbah bin Suhban (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about a man who sent a cow as an offering (in the path of Allah): is it permissible for him to sell its hide and give its price in charity? He replied: "There is no harm in it."
