وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنِ الْعَوَّامِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، قَالَ : كَانُوا يُرَخِّصُونَ لِلْغُلَامِ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ خَاتَمَ الذَّهَبِ ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَ أَلْقَاهُ " .
Musaddad said: "Hushaym narrated to us from al-Awwam bin Hawshab, from Ibrahim al-Taymi (may Allah have mercy on him), that 'the earlier people of knowledge used to permit a boy to wear a gold ring, and when the boy reached the age of puberty, he would take it off.'"
