حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سِيرِينَ ، يَقُولُ : نَهَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا عَنِ الذَّهَبِ ، وَالْآنِيَةِ الْفِضَّةِ ، فَلَمْ يَزَالُوا بِهَا حَتَّى رَخَّصَتْ فِي الذَّهَبِ " .
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Sirin that "Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) forbade (the use of) gold and vessels of silver; then the people kept approaching her (for permission) until she granted permission for (the use of) gold."
