حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ ، ثَنَا أَبُو سِنَانٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ الْحَسَنَ أَبْيَضَ الرَّأْسِ وَاللِّحْيَةِ عَلَيْهِ كُمَّةٌ بَيْضَاءُ مُضَرَّبَةٌ " .
( 99 ) وَحَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي الْبَابِ تَقَدَّمَ فِي التَّجَمُّلِ لِلْجُمُعَةِ .

"Abu Sinan says: I saw (the famous Successor) Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him); the hair of his head and beard had turned white, and he was wearing a white quilted (or tightly stitched) cap."
