قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَرْبِ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : [قَدْ] كُنَّا نَقْرَأُ ، لَيُؤَيِّدَنَّ اللهُ تَعَالَى هَذَا الدِّينَ بِرِجَالٍ مَا لَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "We used to recite (these words too, formerly): 'Allah Almighty will surely support this religion of Islam through people who will have no share (of good and reward) in the Hereafter.'"
