وَبِهِ قَالَ : كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : حَلِيفُ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ ، وَابْنُ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ .
With the same previous chain it is narrated: I was sitting in the blessed gathering of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The ally (halif) of a people is counted among them, and the sister's son of a people is also (counted) among them."
Imam al-Bukhari narrated this hadith in al-Adab al-Mufrad, and this narration is sahih (authentic).
