أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ - هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ - عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَابِطٍ الْجُمَحِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : كَانَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ ، وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا يَتَنَاجَيَانِ بَيْنَهُمَا حَدِيثًا . فَقُلْتُ لَهُمَا : أَمَا حَفِظْتُمَا فِي وَصِيَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ فَجَعَلَا يَتَذَاكَرَانِهِ ، فَقَالَا : إِنَّمَا بُدُوُّ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ نُبُوَّةٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ ، ثُمَّ كَائِنٌ خِلَافَةً وَرَحْمَةً ، ثُمَّ كَائِنٌ مُلْكًا عَضُوضًا ، ثُمَّ كَائِنٌ عُتُوًّا وَجَبْرِيَّةً وَفَسَادًا فِي الْأُمَّةِ ، يَسْتَحِلُّونَ الْخُمُورَ وَالْفُرُوجَ ، وَفَسَادًا فِي الْأُمَّةِ يُنْصَرُونَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ وَيُرْزَقُونَ حَتَّى يَلْقَوُا اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .
هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .
2092 \ 2 - رَوَاهُ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ : عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، نَحْوَهُ .
2092 \ 3 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، ثَنَا جَرِيرٌ - هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ -
2092 \ 4 - قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، بِهِ .
هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .
2092 \ 2 - رَوَاهُ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ : عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، نَحْوَهُ .
2092 \ 3 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، ثَنَا جَرِيرٌ - هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ -
2092 \ 4 - قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، بِهِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Tha'labah al-Khushani (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abu Ubaydah bin al-Jarrah and Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with them both) were talking together in whispers. I asked them: "Do you both remember that counsel of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" So they began to recall it together and said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the beginning of this Ummah is with prophethood and mercy; then after that there will be caliphate and mercy; then there will be biting kingship; then will come an era of arrogance, tyranny and corruption in the Ummah. People will regard wine and fornication as lawful, and despite such corruption in the Ummah they will be given help and will go on being given provision until they meet Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
This hadith is hasan (good).
Imam al-Tayalisi narrated something similar to it through Jarir bin Hazim from Layth.
And Imam Abu Ya'la said: Abu Khaythamah narrated to us from Jarir bin Abd al-Hamid.
Imam Abu Ya'la also said: Muhammad bin al-Minhal narrated to us from Abd al-Wahid bin Ziyad, and he through Layth, with this same chain.
This hadith is hasan (good).
