وَقَالَ عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، ثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ - وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ - : حُرِّمَ عَلَى عَيْنَيْنِ أَنْ تَنَالَهُمَا النَّارُ : عَيْنٌ بَكَتْ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللهِ ، وَعَيْنٌ بَاتَتْ تَحْرُسُ الْإِسْلَامَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُفْرِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, and Allah knows best: "The Fire (of Hell) has been made forbidden from touching two eyes: an eye which wept out of the fear of Allah, and another eye which spent the night guarding and protecting Islam against the people of disbelief."
