قَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ حَرَامِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : لَا تَعَرُّبَ بَعْدَ الْهِجْرَةِ ، وَلَا هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ الْفَتْحِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "After having emigrated, it is not permissible to return to a bedouin life (that is, to leave the centre of Islam and settle permanently in the desert); and after the Conquest of Makkah there is no longer any need for emigration (from there to Madinah)."
