قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ : إِنَّ رَجُلًا ، قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ : إِنَّكَ مَا تَأْتِي امْرَأَتَكَ إِلَّا زِنًا أَوْ حَرَامًا ، فَرَفَعَهُ إِلَى عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : قَدْ قَذَفَكَ بِأَمْرٍ يَحِلُّ لَكَ .
It is narrated from al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) that a man said to another: "You only go to your wife by way of fornication or something unlawful." So this case was brought before the court of Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said (to the complainant): "Indeed, this man has accused you of a matter that is lawful for you in the Shari'ah (that is, by calling your lawful marital relations fornication, he has committed qadhf, false accusation, against you)."
