وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ شَقِيقِ بْنِ أَسْمَاءَ ، ثَنَا عُبَيْسُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ ، بَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَهُوَ كَمَا قَالَ . إِنْ قَالَ : إِنِّي يَهُودِيٌّ - فَهُوَ يَهُودِيٌّ ، وَإِنْ قَالَ : إِنِّي نَصْرَانِيٌّ - فَهُوَ نَصْرَانِيٌّ ، وَإِنْ قَالَ : إِنِّي مَجُوسِيٌّ - فَهُوَ مَجُوسِيٌّ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever swears an oath about some matter (with words of disbelief) is just as he uttered with his tongue: if he said, 'I am a Jew,' then he is a Jew; if he said, 'I am a Christian,' then he is a Christian; and if he said, 'I am a Magian,' then he is a Magian."
