حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، وَمُحَمَّدٍ " أَنَّهُمَا كَانَا لَا يَدْخُلَانِ الْحَمَّامَ " .
It is narrated from Imam al-Hasan al-Basri and Imam Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on them both) that "they both (out of abstinence and piety and to guard their private parts) would not enter the hammam (public bathhouse)."
The chain of this report is sahih (authentic), and Imam Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated it in his work 'al-Musannaf' (177).
