قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : وَحَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، قَالَ : أَرَادَ كَعْبُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَ يَهُودِيَّةً ، فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَنَهَاهُ ، وَقَالَ : " إِنَّهَا لَا تُحْصِنُكَ " .

It is narrated from Ali bin Abi Talhah (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to marry a Jewish woman, so he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it. He (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade him from it and said: "She will not be able to safeguard your chastity and modesty."
Imam Abu Bakr also narrated it in the same way through the chain of Isa bin Yunus.
