قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ، ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، ثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَأْذِنُهُ فِي التَّزْوِيجِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ ثَلَاثًا . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَزَوَّجْ ، وَلَا تُطَلِّقْ ; فَإِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى يُبْغِضُ الذَّوَّاقِينَ وَالذَّوَّاقَاتِ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and began asking his permission concerning marriage. He said: O Messenger of Allah, I have married three times. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Marry, but do not divorce, for Allah Almighty strongly dislikes the men and women who marry and divorce frequently merely for the sake of pleasure."
