وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ، ثَنَا أَبُو حَبِيبٍ الْغَنَوِيُّ ، عَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا تَرَى أَعْيُنُهُمُ النَّارَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ : عَيْنٌ بَكَتْ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللهِ تَعَالَى ، وَعَيْنٌ حَرَسَتْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَعَيْنٌ غَضَّتْ عَنْ مَحَارِمِ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three fortunate kinds whose eyes will not see the Fire of Hell on the Day of Resurrection: the eye that wept out of fear of Allah Almighty, the eye that kept guard in the path of Allah, and the eye that lowered its gaze from the things made forbidden by Allah, the Blessed and Exalted."
