قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، ثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، ثَنَا أَبُو مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " النَّبِيُّ لَا يُورَثُ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A prophet is not inherited from (that is, inheritance does not apply to what he leaves behind)."
