الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ ، ثَنَا مَيْسَرَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ - قَالَا : خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - ..فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، وَفِيهِ : وَمَنْ مَشَى فِي صُلْحٍ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ ، صَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ ، وَأُعْطِيَ أَجْرَ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ ، وَفِيهِ : وَمَنْ خَانَ جَارَهُ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ ، طُوِّقَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَى سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ نَارًا ، حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ جَهَنَّمَ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah and Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that these two eminent Companions said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us; then the narrator mentioned the complete hadith, in which there is also this noble saying: "And whoever walks to strive for reconciliation between two people, the angels keep praying for mercy for him until he returns, and he is given the reward of Laylat al-Qadr." And in the same hadith there is also: "And whoever betrays his neighbour by even a handspan of land, on the Day of Resurrection that portion, down to seven earths, will be made a collar of fire and placed around his neck, until he enters Hell." This hadith is mawdu' (fabricated).
