وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، ثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي غَرَزَةَ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِرَجُلٍ يَبِيعُ طَعَامًا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : يَا صَاحِبَ الطَّعَامِ ، أَسْفَلُ الطَّعَامِ مِثْلُ أَعْلَاهُ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : مَنْ غَشَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَلَيْسَ مِنْهُمْ ! .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qays bin Abi Gharazah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who was selling foodstuff, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: "O seller of foodstuff, is the bottom of this food the same as its top?" He said: "Yes." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever cheats the Muslims is not one of them!"
