It is narrated from Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave her the harvested yield of forty wasqs of dates and twenty wasqs of barley (from the produce) of Khaybar. Then Asim bin Adi came to her and said to her: "If you wish, I will pay you (the same amount) in full here, and I will collect it from your share at Khaybar." She said: "(Wait) until I ask the Commander of the Believers." So she mentioned it to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and he disliked it and said: "What about the liability (and the risk)?" Waki' said: "This is suftajah (a bill of exchange, or transfer of a debt), and according to the view of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) it is disliked."
