أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمُهَيْمِنِ بْنُ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ جَدِّي - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : إِنَّهُ لَمَّا قَفَلَ مِنْ غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ ، فَاطَّلَعَ عَلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْمَبْرَكِ بَدَا لَهُ أُحُدٌ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : هَذَا جَبَلٌ يُحِبُّنَا وَنُحِبُّهُ .
تَابَعَهُ عُمَارَةُ بْنُ غَزِيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ ، عَلَّقَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ طَرِيقِهِ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from the expedition of Tabuk and came up onto the pass of al-Mabrak, Uhud came into his view, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is a mountain that loves us and we love it."
Umarah bin Ghaziyyah also corroborated it, narrating from Abbas bin Sahl; al-Bukhari mentioned it from his route in mu'allaq form.
