حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَابِطٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَأَصْحَابُهُ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ - يَنْحَرُونَ الْبُدْنَ مَعْقُولَةَ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى مَا بَقِيَ مِنْ قَوَائِمِهَا .
It is narrated from Abd al-Rahman bin Sabit (may Allah have mercy on him): "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) used to slaughter (nahr) the sacrificial camels in such a state that their left foreleg was tied and they were standing on their remaining legs."
