قَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ عُمَارَةَ نَسِيبَةَ بِنْتِ كَعْبٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - قَالَتْ : أَنَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَهُوَ يَنْحَرُ بُدْنَهُ قِيَامًا ، وَسَمِعْتُهُ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ - وَقَدْ حَلَقَ رَأْسَهُ ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ قُبَّةً لَهُ حَمْرَاءَ ، فَرَأَيْتُهُ أَخْرَجَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ قُبَّتِهِ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ - : يَرْحَمُ اللهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ - ثَلَاثًا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Umarah Nusaybah bint Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I was looking at the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was slaughtering his sacrificial camels in a standing position, and I heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) say, when he (peace and blessings be upon him) had already had the hair of his blessed head shaved and had then gone into a red leather tent of his, I saw that he (peace and blessings be upon him) put his blessed head out of the tent and was saying: "'Yarhamullahul-muhalliqin' (May Allah Almighty have mercy on those who shave their heads)." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said these words of supplication three times, then he said: "'Wal-muqassirin' (And on those who shorten their hair too)."
